1.) The natural selection i used was hard. the predator made it and ate its prey, which was my breed. the key to survive is to get enough kind of plants for it to eat.
2.)the blog of birds showed me alot of how dinosaurs evolved over time and changed the way birds look, also theyre skeleton look was different even though, they are from the same kind dinosaurs.
3.) When you mate with the same bred it stays the same but over time a different breds gene can be stronger and it starts evolving more. after awhile it will oercome to being the only bred.

This article talks about darwins way of shaping domestic pigeons into hundreds of breeds of various shapes and colors. darwin conducted breeding experiments. It showed me a lot about breeding.

1. I learned alot about Natural selection. As for playing the game, I survived until the year 805555. My key to survival was to get one tall, medium, and short little animal thing.
2. It started out as a fossil, and they had thought it must had been a bird because it had many features of one. They also come for the reptile family.
3. I wasnt able to play the game. :/
4. I liked The Evolution Of Flight in Birds, I learned alot on how they formed.
5. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zVEjVIo-jro
6. Didnt see anyones posts yet. :/
1. It took me five or six times to survive. I had to put enough diversity in the group and I had to use a life preserver.
2. Birds once had lots of teeth and long bony tails. Now you don’t see birds with teeth but with a simple beak, they also don’t have tails like other reptiles.
3. I survived quite well as a bird. In order to be fit you need to be able to see well and eat enough.
4. I liked the best because it was fun but you also had to think about it.
5. http://www.nysci.org/charlieandkiwi_finches/
6. No one else has blogged yet.
1. It took me four trials to survive. The key to survival was to use the tips and the Life Preservers to select an animal that will survive in the certain situations and weather conditions.
2. Birds evolved when an odd looking fossil was found in Solnhofen, Germany in 1861. The skeleton represented one of a reptile because of its long bony tail, calws and teeth. Birds evolved from dinosaurs and are considered part dinosaur except for the fact that birds have wings while dinosaurs do not. Birds share features with reptiles leading to this conclusion.
3. I did okay on the game. I made it to that fourteenth year. In order to be 'fit' species need to maintain a steady diet unless health issues permit the species to eat more than usual. When breeding a species needs to eat more to stay healthy.
4. The website I liked best was the second one about The Evolution of Flight in Birds because I felt it was very helpful in explaining the information. The details were easily understandable and the website was very well worded.
5. A natural selection game: http://www.gamezarena.com/action/games/natural-selection/
6. I am the first person to blog so I can't comment on somebody elses. :)
Vanessa Martinez Castrejon,
When I began playing, there was a total of four trials before I survived. The first trial was the heat,so I used the life preserve for the creatures who were hairless. The second trial was the predators coming to eat the their prey, but the creatures mangage to survive by the stripes they had and passing their genes along. For the third trial, it was the freezing time and the final trial was the plants with berries, that only the creatures with long legs may reach it.
so basicly I survived in Darwin's Evolution game. The key of the game was to be think and be prepared the unexpected.
In the evolution of flight in birds website, I've learned many structures of birds that were very unknown to me, until now. In the first section, I've the learned various types of animals that are able to fly besides birds like squirrels and frogs, which really fascinated me.The other section was explaining the details of the feathers on how they support the bird's body to fly with different types of feathers. There four types of feathers: insulating(downy and semiplume),contour, flight, and flimamentous. When it was mentioning on how birds were adapted since the prehistoric times, just looking at the timeline gave me the chills on how birds looked like in the past.
Lastly for the survival game, I've done pretty well with hardly any fail attempts. The bird needed to find food(insects) for survival so it may survive the winter, find a mate, and reproduce. It each situation, the bird must eat enough insects so it may survive.
The website I liked best in my opinion was the second website detail by detail about the birds feathers.
This youtube video explains a little bit more of what the other three websites has shown us about the evolution and adaption of birds.

1). It took me 4 trials to survive. I had to look at each mutations pros and cons, and then pick the three that I thought would survive the longest. I chose the one with stripes, a tall on, and a skinny one.
2). The bird thing taught me that birds most likely evolved from dinosaurs because they had over 100 things in common. I also learned that feathers and wings were not always used for flight in the beginning, and how structure of bones affected flying.
3). I lasted until year 6. A species needs to have a good habitat to be fit.
4). I liked the first site the best because it was a fun way to explore different ways to make a species survive.
5). https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GhHOjC4oxh8
6). I liked Aubrie C’s game because it shows how predation plays a part in evolution.
1)It had taken me 2 trials to win. After the first time i had played i remembered the things that you had to go threw and tried to pick the best choices out of that.
2) Birds have evolved from having teeth and stuff to just a long beak. They had to change and adapt to become like where they live to survive.
3)I did alright. I had lasted until the 8th year. A species needs enough food to live and be fit. When there breading or injured they need more food in order to survive.
4) My favorite site was the survival game. I thought it was entertaining.
5)http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r5Y_ILQB-Kg
6) Vanessas was about the birds and the evolution of them. It taught about how they had to adopt to certain areas in order to survive.
1.OMG! I played that like 15 times!I used basically all the traits. The key to my survival was my cool feathers.
2. They grew wings to get away from stuff. First the developed the bones and then the feathers came.
3. I had to do it a few times but I got to my 8th year. To be fit you must contain a nice diet.
4. I liked the 3rd website, cause I liked killing all the bugs>:D
5.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pt2gHpqfZNA
6. Well Tyler's game made me want to punch my self in the face but basically it taught you about natural selection by showing you examples of birds and how their offspring came out with the same traits that helped their parents survive.
1)it took me awhile but i learn how to servive but i used a Preservers to select an animal that will survive in the certain problems and weather changes.
2) in the bird website i learned how the bird changed from back in time to todays time.birds had teeth and a long tail and also learned many structures of birds.
3) i did alright on the game,to be a healthy animal, they had to maintain a good diet and also needed to eat fair enought to survive the winter.
4)I liked The Evolution Of Flight in Birds because i learned things i never knew about birds and how they were back in time.
5)http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zVEjVIo-jro
6)i agree with Katherine Holt because the evolution was very informational and helped me learn things.
I liked Silvia S. article because it explained that there are several different breeds of pigeons and noted that the breeds are genetically related which is different from Darwin's theories.
1.it was kinda hard but at the end i did learn how to survive i used a preservers to select an animal that will survive in certan areas only.
2.bird website-i learned how birds changed from the old days to now a days and they changed alot because back then birds had teeth.
3.i did alright on the game, it said to be healthy and had to maintain in a diet and eat alot to survive in the winter
4.i liked the evolution because i learned so many new things that i would of never learned any where else.

6. I saw people post a whole lot ;o
1)It took me four times my key to survival was good choices.
2)They eventually grew wings to eat
food.
3)I did poorly, they need lots of food.
4)The last one was gucci.

1. It took me about seven or eight tries to get the combination right.I needed tall, long legged, spiked, and striped animals to survive.
2. The site on birds showed me how many animals have evloved in to the ability of flight and how birds have changed over the years.
3. The species must eat and reproduce to survive.
4http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pt2gHpqfZNA
1. It took me two trials to survivie because i didnt get it the first time. I chose the animals with long legs and no fur so that they could withstand the heat and reach the food
2. i learned that birds have most likely evolved from dinosaurs because they share 100 similarities with them and at first they had teeth no they have a beak
3. i did ok but not the best and their diet means alot for them to survive
4. i liked the first site the best because it was a fun game
5. www.youtube.com/watch?v=a16OVnQEU-0
6.
Vanessas was bout birds and how they survive in new environments and how they adapt in order to do well
1. it was very very hard i made it to 999,999 and the coldness and the monster ate my aniamls. but i really think it was okay but not that fun anyways.
2.the second website was good because it teach me a lot of about birds and different aniamls are different and the dinsours bones are the same as the birds bones do.
3. the third website was fun and i suvived about 20 years by eating bugs in a year or more bugs twice a years.
4. i like the third website because it should me how to survived for along time and eat bugs too because its a lot of fun too play this game too.
5. Surviving 2012-2013 & The Coming Years In North ... - YouTube
6.sivla artic was really good i would like read more about and learn about it everyday.
1.It took me three trys to be able to survive i chose a long neck animal a furry one and a striped one
2. Birds have evolved from dinosaurs they had went from really big thing to eveen smaller ones that had wings feathers and reptile features.and so they became birds.
3. My bug survived for about 6 year you had to be fit by eating enough to survive the winter and survive disease and hawk attacks
4.I liked the first sight the best because it was a good game that you can learn from.
5.http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/evolution/educators/teachstuds/svideos.html
6. i liked Allyson Lauxman's video it was very informative about evolution.
1.) I survived the entire game, the key to my survival was to have some diversity. I had some tall ones, some fluffy ones, and some short bald ones.
2.) The website told me that birds have evolved from dinosaurs. The species have gotten a lot smaller over millions of years. Some of the dinosaurs had feathers and wings.
3.) In this game, I only made it to the 4th year. In order to be a healthy animal, you have to maintain a healthy diet and survive the air conditions.
4.) I liked the 3rd website the best because it was fun to play. I learned that it is hard for animals to survive in the wild.
5.) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U0v_icbtspE
6.) I liked Aubrey's game because it showed how predation plays a part in evolution.
1) I survived after 3 trials. To survive, for example I matched the animals coat to weather or the heigth to the food height.
2)The website informed me that birds have evolved from dinosaurs.
3)I did pretty well, but it was very hard to see the green bugs. The animal needs to have very good eyesight to fit.
4) I liked the last website best because it showed me how hard it was to see the bugs and how har dthe animals have to work to just get food.
5)http://phet.colorado.edu/en/simulation/natural-selection
6)I liked Tyler H's game because it was very interesting and fact filled.
1. I survived 1 million years. But it took me like 7 times to pass it.
The key was to choose the animals with stripes, long legs & the skinny one.
2. The second website was fun and gave me a lot of information. I even learned that there is a fish that can fly above surfaces to avoid predators. Birds evovled by adapting to the weather conditions and growing wings to survive.
3. I guess i did ok. I survived till the 12th year. And i ran out of bugs :o i dont know how but i did.
4.Vanessas was about birts evolution. It taught me how they adapted to survive in certain areas.
1) it took me two trials until i survived the game. my key to it was adding the long legs and when it was hot add the ones whos weakness was being in the cold.
2)birds have evolvedfrom dinasaurs. it may be considered a type of dinosaur.birds first were dinosaurs then evolved into flying species.
3) i did pretty good on this website, in order to survive you have to eat the right amount of bugs.
4)the website i liked the best wa the second one. it was fun learning about how birds evovled over time which was pretty neat to know.
5)www.neok12.com/Natural-Selection.htm
6)i liked silvias article about pigeons, talked about how they breed and such.
David E p1
1). It took me four types to survive. the key to survive was to have the correct kinda of species so they could mate and adapt to its surroundings.
2).It showed me how birds have envoled because they needed to adapt to its enviroment.
3).I was able to survive 10 years. the food they eat really determines if they will survive or die.
4).I like the first site the best because it made me want to survive and figure out how too.
5).www.youtube.com/watch?v=O8i1TWk5Nvc
6). I like Reanne Sliwinski video. it was easy to understand.
1) I survived on the second try. I had to use one of the genetic mutations and add taller organisms to my species. I chose: a short, skinny, striped animal; a short, fat, hairy animal; and a tall, skinny, animal to survive.
2) Birds started out as dinosaurs and over millions of years they slowly evolved and developed the necessary characteristics needed to fly.
3) I was able to breed six times over my lifetime before I died from not eating enough bugs. A species must be able to spot its food no matter if it is camouflaged or not.
4) I liked the second site because it explained alot about evolution and natural selection. Also I learned how birds evolved from dinosaurs.
5)http://www.actionbioscience.org/evolution/lenski.html
6) Silvia's article was about how all domestic and feral pigeon breeds all descended from one group and how that support Darwin's theory.
1. The game took me three tries to beat. To win, one had to make sure that they had animals that shared no more than two of the same traits/having genetic diversity. Having at least one with stripes or long legs was especially useful.
2. Birds evolved by the process of natural selection. The birds who had traits that were weak, such as dull teeth or short legs, would die off, leaving birds with only certain traits to continue living and reproduce. This began with dinosaurs that went through many adaptations and selections, forming multiple groups of species, and eventually creating birds.
3. My bird managed to produce three times in its lifetime. The way to survive best is to make sure the population of both green and blue bugs stay equal. To do this, you must regulate populations by consuming more of one species than the other.
4. The first website was the best over-all. It was the most interactive and had the player actually have to think about their decisions. The third game was mostly just a point and click game with no need for knowledge or thinking; the second wasn’t even interactive so it was lacking in ways.
5. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iKz01UB8QrY
6. I played Tyler’s game http://www.nysci.org/charlieandkiwi_finches/. It was a short interactive game where you could see how birds with different beaks would move to different areas that are more adapt to their beak sizes. Half of the birds with size four beaks could live in dryer environments compared to those with size three who had to live in wetter lands.
-Calum Eikenberry
1.) It took me three trials to survive. The key to survival was long necks, stripes, and fur.
2.) I learned the birds envolved from dinosaurs that had teeth and long tails.
3.) I did half way decent. A species need to be able to blend in.
4.) I liked the Darwin's Evolution Game.
5.)http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/nova/evolution/evolution-action.html
6.) I like Vanessa's video it was very interesting. I leanred a few new things.

1. I actually only played the game once and surivived first try. The key to survival was choosing the corret species that could adapt to the enviornment and weather conditions.
2.Birds back then had had teeth and boney tails, and over the years, birds now don't have those features. The evolution of birds has brought hundreds of different species into the world.
3. I didn't do so well on this game. I got past the first few levels, and eventually my bird ended up dying because I couln't click the bugs fast enough. However, I learned that not only your vision plays a big part, but also you need to eat enough to survive.
4.I liked Aubrie C's game because it explains how predation plays a big part in evolution.

1:It took me 6 time to survive well i picked three of the same type of animals and then used a a random one to help out in some cases
2:Birds evolved because the need to get away from hunters and to find resources
3:i did well a species need to be taken down some times to help the rest of the species
4:i like the first one because it help me out on evolution

1. I did 3 trials and the key to survival is to be fast, warm and developed all the way.
2.Birds evolved by a mix of reptile and bird a link between them. They evolved from dinosuars and flight bird evolved in four different groups of some animals.
3.It did pretty good at this game but to be "fit" you have to make sure you eat the right amount to survive and not die.
4.I liked the second sight the best because it made me understand how birds got brought into this world.

1. it took me a long time to survive a million years. it took me like 17 tries. the key to surving is to make sure your species has the right characteristics to survive.
2. birds have evolved from dinosaurs and are considered dinosaurs. They have evolved to get the characteristics to fly.
3.i got to breed 7 times. it got very difficult. the key is to be camoflauged.
4. my favorite website is the third one because it got more and more dificult.
5.http://www.rolls-royce.com/interactive_games/darwin/darwin.htm
6. i liked tyler s.'s video. it was very educational and it gave me alot of knowledge.
1)it took me a couple times to complete the game but it was easy
2) birds evolved from dinsorers that had sharp teeth and stuff that now in days birds dont have
3)hard but fun it made me tink to much
1) I played it 2 times untill I survived. I had to pick the correct species that could adapt and survive.
2)Birds evolved from having teeth to having beaks and wings in order to help them get to the food that they needed to survive.
3)To survive a species must be able to adapt to the changes in their enviroment and stay hidden from predators in order to surive long enough to reproduce.
4) The third website was the best. It taught me more things I didn't know compared to the other two websites.
5)http://phet.colorado.edu/en/simulation/natural-selection
6) Alejandro Silva's video was very intersesting.
1. It took me four trials to survive the game. I had to make sure none of the animals shared two of the same traits. I also had to make sure that they could survive the environment witht the weather conditions.
2. I learned that the birds have evolved from having teeth to long beaks. They had to addapt to survive.
3. I did a good job on the game. I found that the species had has to be able to blend in.
4. I liked the first website the most. It was the most interactive but the second wasn't as much.
5. www.youtube.com/watch?v=UuZTqLW_MN4
6. I liked playing Tyler's game because it helped me understand natural selection.
1) It took me 4 trails to survive the game i had to make adjustments to make sure the correct species could adapt to the enviornment.
2) Birds are cool
3) I like the game until anna messed it up but i reproduced 3 times
4) i really liked the first game as the best one out of all
5)www.youtube.com/watch?v=_bnkRDp41hs
1) I survived 5 trials. The key to my survival was putting more and more species out there. So only certain predators would eat certain prey.
2) Birds evolved from natural selection. Birds in the olden days had teeth and boney features. Since they have evolved so much they don't have those features anymore. They have lost the teeth and the boney tails and now they have beaks and feathers.
3) I ate bugs to survive, got attacked by a hawk two times and also bred 5 times. A species needs to do certain things in order to survive. Needs to eat a certain amount to survive, and also needs to watch out for itself and its babies. Depending on the species some have more to do than others.
Carly Bouchard p.3
1) I survived the second time I played the game. My key to survivial was to pick different species- tall one, short one with a red head, and a dark one with stripes. I learned and understood more about natural selection after this game.
2) Birds evolved from dinosaurs, the difference between dinosaurs and birds is that birds started to fly. Powered flight evolved in all sorts of animals. Birds share more than 100 features with dinosaurs.
3)I did ok in this game. I got injured a couple times, and caught a disease. I had to make sure i ate enough bugs over winter. In order to be "fit" they need to eat enough and try to breed.
4) I liked game number 3 the best because it was fun to eat the bugs and see how long you can live.
5) my website talks about natural selection:
http://evolution.berkeley.edu/evolibrary/article/evo_25
6) I liked Tyler Samas website with all the little videos- I learned more about evolution.
1)it took me only one try.The key to survival was to add a variety of different traits and to add others to adapt to the enviroment.
2)Birds have evolved over the years to fly so they can escape from predetors and use their wings for transportation.
3)i did very well the key to survival was tohave long legs to run from predetors, coats for the winter and long necks to reach food.
4)I enjoyed most the survival game because you learn how species evolve through the years.
5)www.youtube.com/watch?v=r5Y_ILQB-Kg
6)i learned alot from alejandro silvas song it talked about evolution.
1) It took me twice to survive, The key to surviving was to make sure the animals didn't have much of the same trait.
2)In order to survive birds evolved from having teeth to beaks.
3) I think i did ok on the game, and i learned you need to eat alot.
4) I liked darwin's evouloution game.

6) I liked tyler's game.
1. It took me one try. The key is to let natural selection run it's course.
2. Birds are dinosaurs. Originally they were more reptilian in appearance with teeth and boney tails but eventually they evolved out of those.
3. I survived for 12 years. A species has to eat healthily and exercise to be fit.
4. I liked theevolution game the best. Because the game was fun.
5. www.groovyjava.com/games/evolution-2/
6. Glen's game is about Darwin's journey to the Galapagos Islands.
1. Four, and tall, hairless animals.
2.Birds have evolved from having fully-fledged teeth and jaws to having beaks.
3. I learned that you must use every sense to survive because its all important. I couldn't click fast enough, so my bird didn't make it.
4. I liked the Darwin website best because i really learned about what you need to survive.

6. I enjoyed Tyler's game because it really helped me to fully understand natural selection.
:)
1. Playing the game I survived 1 million years!
2. After going on the evolution tour, i can say that through adaptation and variation, birds have changed and envolved over time.
3. I survived long enough to bred 12 times! in our to be "fit" my bird must eat enough food to live in the winter and have the ability to detect food.
4. I liked the site http://science.discovery.com/interactives/literacy/darwin/darwin.html
because i loved the game and made me think about what animals would survive 1 million years.
5. http://www.thewildclassroom.com/biodiversity/birds/aviantopics/originandevolution.html
6. I liked Carly Bouchard's p.3 article. The infomation is short sweet and to the point and the little pictures on the side make it fun and easy to understand all the infomation.

1)it took me only two try.The key to survival was to add a variety of different traits and to add others to adapt to the enviroment.
2) Birds evolved from dinosaurs, the difference between dinosaurs and birds is that birds started to fly. Powered flight evolved in all sorts of animals. Birds share more than 100 feature
3) I think i did ok on the game, and i learned you need to eat alot.
4)I enjoyed most the survival game because you learn how species evolve through the years.
5)www.youtube.com/watch?v=r5Y_ILQB-Kg
6)i learned alot from alejandro silvas song it talked about evolution
1. I had one trail. my key to my survival was making sure they had long necks to reach food. I also made sure they had spikes for preditors, and fur for the winter.
2. they evloved from dinosors. Then they adapted and grew wings, which later turned into birds.
3. I did ok, I tryed to keep the blue ones going because they are easier to see. I also at as much as i could when I was injured or it was winter, but also eat only what i needed on a regular day.
4. I liked the first website game the best. it was fun, yet very educational, which is hard to find.
5.http://www.globalchange.umich.edu/globalchange1/current/lectures/selection/selection.html
6.I read Carly Bouchard's website. It had pictures with an explenation of natural selection and show me an example of it.
1. I played the Natural Selection game and survived after the 4th trial. Key to survival is the use of cross-breeding in order to maintain a balance of genetic variation.
2.Birds seem to have evolved from Reptiles and Dinosaurs. The have similar structure and share holes in hip bones and finger sockets.
3.I was able to last about 7 years, but due to the lack of blue bugs, and the invisibility of the green bugs, i was unable to survive. To be "fit" a species must be able to adapt to certain conditions and conform to new food sources.
4. My favorite site was the "Darwins Evolution Game",becuase of the information posted and the fun game that was featured.
5.anthro.palomar.edu/evolve/evolve_2.htm
6. I visited Silvia's article on Scientific American, and the site explained about how Pigeons have evolved and how they support Darwins experiments with pigeons.
1.it took me 12 tries to pass the game. i passed it by putting on tall one one with a long neck and on fat one with fur. You had to make sure that there wasen too much of one trait.
2.The evolution of birds started off as everyone having the bone structure to be able to fly, and then they just evolved over time by mateing.
3.i did okay, i got passed alot of years but then i died because i didnt eat enopugh food, so the key to survival is to make sure that you eat enough so that you dint starve and you can continue to reproduce.
4.i like the first website the most because it really let em control the outcomes and it let me interact with the lesson.
5.http://www.funny-games.biz/evolution.html
6. I liked Carly Bouchards article because it really goes into depth on how thes grew over time and the pictures helped my understanding.

1.)It took me twice and OMG that stalker beast in the backround was so flippin' scary!
2.) My key was a combination of the long necked dudes, short neck dudes and the furie dudes.
3.)brids basically evolved from reptiles.
4.)in order to survive, you have to be an animal with a medium sized neck and not alot of hair but some spikes.
5.)iliked the Charles darwin website the best because of the creeper stalking dude in the backround.
6.)http://darwintunes.org/sites/default/files/The_population_memetics_of_DarwinTunes.pdf
7.) I like Glen's game that explained Darwin's journey to the Galapagos.
1. I survived the very first trial of the game I tried! The key to survival was choosing a variation of species to start your population.
2. Birds evolved from dinosaurs. Except instead of becoming extinct, birds adapted to their surroundings and grew wings.
3. I did farely well in the game, besdies catching a disease. In order to stay 'fit', one needs to eat, breed, and blend in.
4. I enjoyed the first game the most. It was interactive and fun, compared to the second game that was mainly reading slides.
5)..http://science.discovery.com/games-and-interactives/charles-darwin-game.htm
6. I enjoyed Carly B. game. The article explained how organisms evolved over time and the pictures showed examples that helped my understanding!
1. I played the game and survived a million years. I had about 4 trials until I finally survived it. The key to the survial was get diferent types, then after you figured which is best with the different incidents you coordinate them and the species lives!
2. The birds evolved in sets. these sets determined the different traits that the bird had as the years go by. The different sets were dinosaurs, saurischians, heropods, maniraptorans, then the birds.
3. I did pretty well. The best I got to was about 11 years then i died of diseases. They need the different variations and they need the nutrients of them.
4. http://articles.latimes.com/keyword/natural-selection
5. i liked Reannes video it explained things in a simple way!
1.I learned alot about Natural selection. It took me twice to survive, The key to surviving was to make sure I had a variety of different traits not just one.
2. The second website was boring but gave me a lot of information. Birds evolved from dinosaures at first they were boney with a little bit of fur.
3.I was able to breed four times over my lifetime before I died from not eating enough. I have to
be able to spot my food even if it is camouflauge.
4.The first website was the best because it was fun but it also made you think of how you had to survive and what kind of traits you needed.
5. www.youtube.com/watch?v=a16OVnQEU-0

1. On the game i played about 20 times until they managed to survive for a long time. They survived for a long time and it happened when i had a big one, medium one and a small one.
2.The animal things began to survive as their surrounding changed. They evolved or adapted to where they had a better chance of survival.
3.On the game i did pretty good they survived for a long time. It was decently fun a lot of the times i died because of the hunter or winter.
4.I enjoyed the first game it helped me learn the most of adaptation. it was also decently fun but they did survive.
5.http://www.britannica.com/EBchecked/topic/5263/adaptation
6. I liked tyler's game because because it helped me learn more about it.
1. I(we)won the game, took 5 trials at the most, I think. I(we)went random on the disitions.
2. Birds evolve by how there genes are, might happen because of where they live.
3. I got to the middle of the evolution. In order to be 'fit' is to be camofloged, so the prediter dose not kill you(This is one you must be prepared for).
4. I liked #3, because that had to click the button as fast as you can.
5..http://www.pbs.org/lifeofbirds/evolution/
Krystal B. P.1 says....
1. Took me 2 times to survive my key was to use the birds with longer necks and use the lifes on the man and the voloanco that came.
2. Birds have evolved was they kept having babies, and just showing up from different places and just staty and have offspring.
3. I did good. What the species needed to do in order to be fit was to find food and eat as much as they could.
4. I liked the 1 site because it shows you what birds have to go through to survive and how they make offspring and what happens to them.

1. i survived 2 trails, my key to survival was using the life preserves and getting a variety of animals
2. birds evolved from dinosuars, they needed a way to get away from they predators so they adapted to new things and soon had long arms and feathers then they learned how to fly.
3. i did okay, i survived 2 winters
4. i liked the first website because it taught me how hard it was to survive

1) it took me two tries before i won. i used short spiked, tall with thin hair, and short stripped creatures.
2)birds have evolved from dinosaurs because they were able to adapt to every condition to help them survive.
3) i survived to my fourteenth year and almost made it.
4) i liked the first site because it was fun and gave me an insight on evolution.
5) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pt2gHpqfZNA this song is awesome!!!
6) i like Jalun Silva's website because it wasnt extremely boring but it still contained a lot of information in it.
1.) I took me a few times to survive. I found that I needed a variety of traits to survive.
2.) Birds have evolved by adapting to better ways of escaping predators.
3.) I did pretty good in the game but died eventually. I needed more food for survival.
4.) I liked the first game the best because it was enjoyable and taught me more about natural selection.
5.) http://evolution.berkeley.edu/evolibrary/article/evo_25
6.) I liked David Dorante's simulation, it was very informative.

1. I survived the first time I played this game. I only used the "life saver" button one. I got all (3) animals, but one was chunky and had spikes, one had tall lines on it, another just plain. The key is to get a varity of the species.
2. They say birds evolved from the dionsaurs.
3. I could bread till 5 times, then died. A species needs to be "fit" by diffrent variations and eat plenty. I liked the 1st game better because i understood why i passed the 1st time because i used variation.

1 my species lived for a while until the predator came in the witer. they did not have the right camo but after 3 trials i survived.
2 the bird site showed me how long it takes for a species to evolve and how reptiles and birds had something in common
3 i kept breeding them together to make them better over time but however over time they still some how evolved.

1- It took me one try to survive until the year 1,000,000 because when I chose my animals I choose a group of diverse animals. I used no health tickets either.
2- Birds have evolved from Dinasours, but have adapted to their enviornments and grew wings to prevent themselves from going extinct.
3- I survived for one winter. The key to survival is to adapt to your enviornment and be camoflauged and make sure you have enough food and water to survive the whole winter.
4- I liked the first site the best because I got to watch my animals evolve and live for 1,000,000 years and it taught me about natural selection.

I seldom write responses, however i did some searching and wound up here "Some Things Never Change, or Do They?????".
And I actually do have a couple of questions for you if it's allright. Could it be only me or does it seem like a few of these responses come across as if they are written by brain dead people? :-P And, if you are writing at additional places, I would like to keep up with anything fresh you have to post. 1) It only took me one try to survive, what really helped me was making them all have long necks.
2) Well birds kinda evolved from insects but at first a lot of animals just started to leap.
3) I tried a lot of times at this game and I could not survive, I guess the species needed to eat more to stay fit.
4) I liked the first game, it helped me learn a lot.

6) I liked Allyson L. from Per:2 video, it helped me learn a lot about evolution.
1. I survived a million years and it only took me two traits to survive. The key to survival is diversity.
2. Birds have evolved from bony and prehistoric to the modern day birds we see today. They evolved to adapt to their environment and survive.
3. I made it to my 7th year a spices need to eat, reproduce and survive to be fit.
4. I liked the 3rd website it was, it was like wakka mole.
5.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UuZTqLW_MN4 this song was stuck in my head after. .-.
6. I enjoyed Glen Renfros evolution game because it was animated and fun and i learned more about Darwins discoveries and theory on evolution.
1. I survived on my third attempt at the game. The key to the survival of the species is to have a variation in characteristics.
2.Birds are thought to have evolved from dinosaurs. Birds and dinosaurs share bodily features. Characteristics present in birds today were present over time in different types of dinosaurs, such as the wishbone. Overtime, birds adapted by having feathers that ensured survival and flight ability.
3. I did alright in the game, I survived eleven years. In order to be fit, a species needs to feed well to reproduce and overcome any injuries or illnesses that prevent reproduction.
4. I liked the third site the best because the game was easier to understand than the first.
http://www.globalchange.umich.edu/globalchange1/current/lectures/selection/selection.html
6. Mattie from period one posted a song. The song was quite interesting, it was all about Darwin and an explanation about his discoveries.
1) It took me 3 trials to survive. My strategy to survival was to pick a variety of different species, some with stripes and long legs, others with stripes and thin, others with spikes and thick. I figured that by doing this, I would be able to survive almost anything, and that the animals would have enough variation that they could use natural selection to adapt to whatever would help them survive through the trial.
2) Birds were first discovered when scientists found fossils from millions of years ago that shared many features with the modern day bird. Through more studies, scientists found that birds actually share many characteristics with dinosaurs and have perhaps evolved from dinosaurs themselves. Scientists soon found that these birds have so many similar skeletal structures and called them Maniraptorans. As these earlier dinosaur stages advanced, they became more and more similar to what is now the modern bird. This is how the bird evolved and got its incredible ability to fly.
3) I did well on the survival game breeding 6 times. In order to be fit, one must eat enough to survive the winter, avoid disease, find a mate quickly, and breed to have several children.
4) I liked website 1 the best because not only was it fun and interesting, it kept me focused and really taught be about natural selection and when a species doesn’t have variation, what can happen to them. I thought website two was very informational, but it wasn’t as interesting and was very long. Website three didn’t teach me as much as the others, but it was fun. This being said, I thought that website 1 had the best balance of information and fun.
5) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R6La6_kIr9g – I thought that this video was very informational and taught me a lot about natural selections. The pictures and diagrams posted were elaborate and helped me a lot. I also enjoyed the examples they used in the video to help teach more about natural selection.
6) I thought that Savanah Montano’s video was very interesting. It had a catchy tune and got evolution stuck in my head. It also had some humor in it as well. It was a great video to briefly learn about Darwin and evolution.
1. It took me three trials to survive. I survived once I started realizing that having many diverse characteristics helped my little weird fuzzy ball things stay alive. :)
2. It began when scientists began to find fossils that were similar to the modern bird skeletal system. They relalized that these birds share many characteristics with dinasoars, and therefore theorized that these birds descended from them. They assumed that the characteristics improved and devoloped into the modern bird as it is today.
3. I bred 8 times. The key was to eat as much as possible, avoid getting sick, and reproduce.
4. I liked Website 1 the best because it was funny and helped me learn more about the theory of Evolution. And those fuzzy balls are so cute, darn it :)

I survived after 7 trials. To survive, for example I matched the animals height to the food height.
2)The website informed me that the birds have evolved from dinosaurs.
3)I did pretty well, but to be fit they have to have the right coat, right height, and eat enough to survive.
4) I liked the last website best because it showed me how hard it was for the animals to survive.
5) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pt2gHpqfZNA this was very informational, and had lots of visual pictures.

2) An example of how birds evolved is how different birds changed their skeletal function to help them while flyting.
3) I did ok in the survuval game, being "fit" means a species is well adapted to its environment and has no flaws in it's capabilities
Out of all the websites I liked the first one the best.
The article i chose http://evolution.berkeley.edu/evolibrary/article/evo_25
I liked Jerimiah Newlin's youtube video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zVEjVIo-jro) it discribes the evoloutin of birds to modern day and how they evolved to better their species.
1. It took me like four times to survive. I had to put more diversity in the group and use a life preserver.
2. The birds had a lot of teeth and long boney tails. Now the brds don't have teeth yet they have a simple beak and don't have tails like other reptiles.
3. I survived amazingly as a bird. In order to be fit, you need to be able to see well and eat enough food to keep you alive.

5. http://www.funny-games.biz/cyto-life.html
6. I liked Jalun's article. I learned a lot from it and it kept my intrest.
1. I survived only 1 trial. Key to survival is mutations in species and adaptation.
2. Birds evolved by adaptation to weather conditions, flight, etc. and mutations to their body structure that made it so they can fly.
3. I did well. A species needs reproduction to make the species live on and adapt.
4. I liked the firs site because it was fun and informing.

2)Birds evolved from creatures that looked reptilian with fethers and similar arms.
3)I ended up dieing as a bird. To fit in you need to adapt and see better to get food.
4)I liked the first site out of all of them because it was very fun and entertaining.

2).It showed me how birds have envoled because they needed to adapt to its enviroment.
3.) I did half way decent. A species need to be able to blend in.
4.)I liked the second sight the best because it made me understand how birds got brought into this world.
5.)http://www.flasharcadegamessite.com/bird-evolution-online-game.html
6.) I liked vanessas website because it talked more of birds and helped me aquire more knowledge about them.
1. I survived on my fourth attempt. The key is to have a variation of characteristics among your species.
2. Birds have evolved from dinosaurs and are still considered dinosaurs by many scientists because they share over 100 different parts. Over time, birds have grown more feathers and adapt to their environment.
3. I did well on the survival game, I made it to the fourteenth year. For a species to be fit, they must be able to adapt with changes in their environment and be able to successfully reproduce.
4. I enjoyed playing the survival game on site three. it really painted a great imagine to how species need to maintain their health in order to prosper.
5. http://www.nytimes.com/2007/06/26/science/26devo.html?ref=science&_r=0
6. Mattie from period 1 posted a song about Darwin and his different theories and travels. It was pretty cool.
During the survival game it took me three tries to live one million years. My success was dependent upon my life preservers. Birds started from land predators and later developed a long, flexible neck,a flexble lower jaw, and feathers. on the survival game i bred once and died after getting attacked by a hawk, stupid hawk, and I learned that i n order to be "fit" an indvidual must be able to avoid predators and catch prey.
I went to Austin Gebow's website and found the article Darwin still rules... informative and easy to relate to.
http://www.actionbioscience.org/evolution/king.html is the article that I chose because it has an nterview of a mcrocelluatary scientist.

1) It took me four tries until I won. I chose a long legged animal, a stripped with fur, and long neck.
2) Birds had fur and teeth back then, but they have evolved into something entirely. They lost the teeth and gained beaks. Also they lost the fur and received feathers.
3) I was able to get past a couple levels but eventually my bird died because I was unable to click on the birds fast enough.
4) I liked the second site because it was easy, interesting and fun.
5) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pt2gHpqfZNA
6) I liked Kortnie Rhoads' video because it explained a lot that we have been learning in class.
1) It took me 4 trials to win; I lost the first 3 and won the last one(the fourth one). I found that the more variety I had, the better chances I had of surviving. I also used one of my life preserves to continue life.
2) dinosaurs=reptiles=birds? Some believe birds to have evolved from early dinosaurs due to skeletal structure, such as the long, bony tail, claws, and mouth for of teeth. I believe natural selection and "survival of the fittest" played a big role in the bird species being able to fly.
3) On my first try, I like to think I did rather well. I survived for 12 years and bred 3 times before I died. Species need to be the ultimate predator, but also be able to keep themselves protected to be "fit". After a while, it got tough for me to see all the little green bugs and I couldn't eat enough. I, obviously, was not fit enough. If I could see better then I'd be good.
4) I liked the very first website first. I liked how you were in charge of what species you picked, and it was actually kind of competitive. I found myself wanting to beat the forces killing my creatures and win. I enjoyed it.
5) http://biologyinmotion.com/evol/
6) Alyssa's game had you grow your own amoeba and help it evolve. You had to help it get food, stay "fit", and you could watch it change. I liked it.
Aaron townzen P.2
1. I survived after 2 times i used adaptations to survive
2. Birds evolved fom having teeth to beacks and being able to fly
3. Adapt to its enviorment
4.I liked the evolution of flight in birds because i thought it was intresting on how much they have evoled
5. ttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aTftyFboC_M
6. I liked christian stephanicks article because it explained what and how natural selection is.
1.) it took me 7 times to pass the game. i used the one with short legs and brown and i also use the one with long legs and long necks.
2.)back then the birds use to have teeth like the ones now and the use to have long wings.
3.) i survived as a bird and even though it was hard u have to have good eye sight and it means to be able to fly very good and to handle weather conditions.
4.) i liked the first site because I got to see how evolution works and how my birds population grew and survived the weather.
5.) http://www.nytimes.com/indexes/2007/06/25/science/index.html
6.) I liked Tyler’s game I learned a lot from it and it was pretty fun to play and it help me learn more about the subject.
1. I took 3 tries to finally survive the catastrophic events, my key to success was having an animal with fur, long neck, and long legs.
2. Way back in dino days birds were flightless and had teeth and sort of resembled a feathered raptor. but throughout many years and evolution these animals grew small and resemble anything from a pigeon to a condor now.
3. In order to a species to be fit it would need food and lots of it as it grows.
4. All in all everyone of the links were cool but the 3rd one was my favorite because I got to be a bird and eat a lot of bugs.
5. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pt2gHpqfZNA
6. I liked playing Tyler's game it was rad.
Haley Olsen P. 1
1) It took me three times. I focused on variation. I put long necked fa birds in and skinny birds.
2.) Birds have evolved through flight and the simlar body structure.
3.)I survived till about 11 years then I died.
I like the last one it was fun to play.
5.)http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b7Z3VBVW45s
6.) I like Davids simulation.
1. It took four trials for me to survive. The key to survival was beginning with a lot of varied traits, to allow the passing on and evolution of certain traits.
2.Birds are said to have began as reptile-like structured animals with teeth. It is theorized through findings of many similarities between birds and dinosaurs, that birds may have evolved from dinosaurs.
3. I survived 7 years, only breeding once. In order to be "fit," a species must be able to live long enough to breed several times.
4. The "Evolution Experience" site was the best because it made evolution a bit easier to comprehend, through a hands-on activity from a different perspective.
5. Evolution Rap: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b7Z3VBVW45s
6. I liked the web post by Madison D. from 6th hour, because it was an interesting video both in presentation appearance and the information portrayed.
1.) it took me like 10 trials to survive the game i used the short legs and the long legged birds and the hairy ones too.
2.) birds have evolved over time a lot compared to how they were back then and how they are now but they still have some similarities.
3.) it took me a while but i did survive as a bird you just need very good eye site and be able to live in all kinds of conditions.
4.)i liked both but i would have to say the first one was a little bit better and it helped me understand about evolution better and much things have changed over time.
5.)www.youtube.com/watch?v=UuZTqLW_MN4
6.) i liked jaluns article because it was interesting and it talk a lot in more detail about the subject.
by Zack Gwinn
1)It showed, different characteristic of a species help it to survive i n different environments.
2)Showed how today's birds evolved from dinosaurs.
3)I did okay, I didn't eat enough food the first time so i died though.
4)I liked the first game the best because, it was easy, and i beat the game every time i played. 5)Here's a song i found on you tube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UuZTqLW_MN4
6)I liked Lucy Diaz's song because it was catchy and showed u some stuff on evolution.
1. it took me like 5 times to pass the game. i picked the ones with hair and they were some short and some kind of tall.
2. the bird have changed over time a lot and i learned that today and they have change so much like now the don't have teeth and back then some did.
3. surviving as a bird is hard but i did it and it takes skill and you have to be good in surviving in all conditions and also have like great eye-site.
4. the second site was alright but i liked the 1st one the most because it gave me a better understanding on evolution and the change that has happened over time.
5. www.youtube.com/watch?v=a16OVnQEU-0
6. i enjoyed Lucy's video it was interesting and fun to watch.
1. I survived on my second try. I learned that you need to start off with a good amount of variation to see what genes will last through change.
2)The second website is about evolution in a bird. it shows what animals they came from and how they changed.
3)The third website was a fun game it showed show the bugs changing from blue to green which made them harder to find.
4)My favorite website was website three because it was fun and showed a real change in the bugs.
5) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pt2gHpqfZNA
6)I like Jeanette E., P.4 articular it talked about birds evolution and change through history.
1. It took me six tries until I was a surviver. The species you choose needed to have long legs to run from predators. Be able to grow fur for winter and cool for heat. Be tall to reach berries on plants.
2. Birds are dinosaurs who have evolved and can fly. They have many similarities to dinosaurs
3. A species needs to eat in order to be "fit".
4. I liked Darwin's evolution game the most. I really got intoit.
1)it only took me two trials. They key was natural selection.
2)The bird were evolved from dinosaurs.
3)i didn't survived that long, i died too much
4)I liked the first website because it taught me to use natural selection.
5) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iKz01UB8QrY
6)i like Lucy's website. it was very informative .
1) it took me like 7 times to pass the game but i finally did it by using the animals with the really long legs and short legs too and the really hairy ones.
2) i never knew bird could have change so much over time for example the bird back then had teeth and the birds now they don't and they had longer wings.
3)i did pretty good as a bird like you have to have like really god eye-site and fly good and be able to adjust to your environment.
4. for me the first site it was funner also it taught me more about Darwin's ideas and how he came to the conclusion of evolution.
5.http://www.thewildclassroom.com/biodiversity/birds/aviantopics/originandevolution.html
6. i found Glens video very nice and entertaining to me and it give me more information i didn't on evolution.
Natalie Vergara p. 2
1)It was a cool game, as the weather changes and more species are created they have to learn to survive(the best suited)or if not the fittest you die.
2)I learned that it takes awhile before you can get a very different specie like how it took many dino's before getting to the form of a pigeon.
3)I didn't get the hang of the third game, but i guess in order to survive you need to eat more bugs.
4) my favorite one of all was the best for me because you had more choices in order for your breed to survive.
5)http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UuZTqLW_MN4
6)Chanel Kruz' video was interesting because it describes evolution in a fun way-Bill Nye the Science Guy.
1) I surived on my first try...I made careful selections based on what I was faced with
2)I learned that birds came from dinosaurs, they evolued and adapted in order for them to survive
3)I dis horrible on this one because I made it to year 8 andbit was to hard t o keep up with all the feeding needs
4)I liked the first sight because it was easier to survive and was a lot shorter
5)www.youtube.com/watch?v=UuZTqLW_MN4
6)I like Aubrie C. Game but my fish did not surive... great game for natural selction
1. I survied like 2-3 trials. My key to winning was to use match to weight with the height.
2. The website stated that birds have similar body parts. Dinosaurs and birds are simalir, birds fly and dinosaurs don't.
3. In the survial game, I did good. That was probably one of the most entertaing games I have played. I liked it.
4. I liked http://www.nhm.ac.uk/nature-online/evolution/what-is-evolution/natural-selection-game/the-evolution-experience.html
the best, because it was the funniest and the most entertaining for me.
5. http://science.howstuffworks.com/life/evolution/natural-selection.htm
6. I liked Emily S's youtube video because it was very descriptive and gave lots of information.
ADIANA LABORIN P.6
1. Well it took me about five trials to survive. Mainly, the key to surivial was basically use the life preservers and tips to choose an animal that'll survive in the specific situations and weather conditions.
2.Started when the scientists began to find fossils that were similar to the modern bird skeletal system and realized that those birds shared oh so many characteristics with dinosaurs and came up with a theory that these birds descended from them.
3. So I survied 7 years, but I only bred once. So if you want to be fit,the species has to be able to live long enough to breed several times and birth half the town.
4. I liked the evolution experience site because it made evolution easier to understend with aands-on activity from a different view.
5.Horrible Histories Charles Darwin Evolution song http://youtu.be/Pt2gHpqfZNA
6. Carly Bouchards article because it went further into detail about how they grow over time and i liked the pictures, they helped me understand it a bit more..
-KAMERON KINDSCHI PERIOD 6
Krystal says....
1. The site showed me that animals canbe smiliar even though they dont look anything a like.
2. This website showed me that fossils can tell a story about how the animal lived, moved, and everything.
3. Learned that finches envolved over time into different sub-species.
4. The song was intersting, i liked it, descirbes a lot.
5. i scored a 30.
6. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YLncN-VBgxU
7. i liked kameron viedo because its a song and makes it cool, and it descibres things good.
