Some things never change... or do they?

1. View information about natural selection and play Darwin's Evolution Game until you survive, how many trials until you survived?  What was they key to your survival?
http://science.discovery.com/interactives/literacy/darwin/darwin.html
2. Do the tour, The Evolution of Flight in Birds:
http://www.ucmp.berkeley.edu/education/explorations/reslab/flight/index.htm
Give an explanation how birds have evolved.
3. Play the survival game, how well did you do?  What does a species need to do in order to be 'fit'?
  http://www.nhm.ac.uk/nature-online/evolution/what-is-evolution/natural-selection-game/the-evolution-experience.html
Go to all three websites and answer the questions in 1-3, then (4) comment about what site you liked best and why,(5) post a song, artircle, youtube or game and finally (6)read or play someone's game or article and explain their website.  Blog before January 11 for extra credit!  60 points. (70 points for early and correct). Blog by the 14th for regular points!

Jake, your comments are great, however, funnest is not a word. One can be more fun or less fun, not that it affects your grade, just for future reference.

in the first one it took me 2 times to survive the evolution game. The key to survival was watching what mutations you used and watching the enviroment.so birds and animals like birds have evolved. So what else havent lizards evolved. for the last game it was hard to eat so many bugs in so little times. All of these blogs are so far my favorite.

1) It took me a whopping six trials to survive the game, and I found that the key to the game was having a diverse group of subjects so that stripes, fur, long legs, or long necks, etc. could keep them alive if a situation called for one of them.
2) Birds have evolved from dinosaurs because dinosaurs shared traits with them such as hollow bones and wide pelvises, and throughout time those dinosaurs began to have features like 3 claws, an unusual wristbone, and longer arms than legs until they became what we know today as birds.
3) I survived eight rounds and found that in order to be fit, an animal has to be smart and fast and acquire a good amount of food. It also helps to avoid injury so that a minimum amount of food is needed.
4) I liked the second website best because I thought it gave interesting and unexpected information. I never knew birds and dinosaurs were related.
